Reaching out into our communities is vital to our organization. Developing relationships with community leaders, media, school faculty,  and local civic groups can greatly assist each post in achieving the VFW mission.

The post participates in a number of Americanism events, such as the placement of flags at veterans' graves, Honor Guard activities, especially during Memorial Day week and Veterans Day, and the Auxiliary providing flag etiquette instruction at local elementary schools.

"Vets in a Classroom" is a program that has been well accepted at schools, and it is performed for an entire day by numerous veterans.
